Data lake ebook

Designed an ebook detailing the importance of the data lake in relation to information architecture, and its role in ensuring artificial intelligence produces accurate insights and models. The ebook introduces key components of building a successful data lake including flexibility, governance, and storage technology, with several real-world examples.

With this ebook, I wanted to experiment with isometric illustrations on light backgrounds and using more “jewel-toned” shades of blue and purple, instead of the lighter shades traditionally used by IBM designers on light backgrounds. It gives them a “glowing” effect, and provides a nice contrast. After presenting this work at the IBM Design Guild, it received positive feedback and became the basis for updating the brand guidelines on creating isometric illustrations.
